Ignorance and Technology

"Visual Studio 2010 is out. Attend the Webinar( something like seminar)", this is what my desktop wallpaper was saying when I switched on my desktop in the company few days back.
I was not able to establish the connection between the database and application and Lo! Microsoft people have moved to the next level. I still remember that during my training days, 3 months back, we-26 people, used to work very hard, trying to know new things and implement them alongside.Although I don't know much about all these technological codes and servers and clients and ASP and anything else but still I remember how hard some fresh graduates from college used to work day in and out to meet the expectations of our employer.Even I(who is allergic to any kind of hard work) struggled hard to put the validations in the log in screen, e.g: User Name not valid, Password is short etc etc.
Now just after 3 months, what I find is all these things are ready made by the mighty Microsoftian's :) in the 3.5 version. You find the log in-screen ready made. Then something called Ajax makes your head spin when you have to write it in JavaScript file(.js) in 2.0 you don't even know where in the hell that Goddamn error is, although I didn't write any Ajax [beyond my scope] but I knew the pain and labor in creating the Ajax enabled applications, especially when you have to write the code. Now in the 3.5 Visual Studio these Ajax things are coming as an extension, so Cheers!!! No need to type the code just drag and drop :)
I don't even know when was 2.0 launched and when was 3.5 launched :), if you know then let me know.

It seems to me that on some remote part of earth there is a place called America where an organization called Microsoft is adamant on automating the things that can be done easily by the dozens of cheap Indian Engineers and all other sort of people easily available here round the clock. The world is running very hard and fast and to remain at par with the developments we need to adopt an intelligent approach. As I am talking about the 2.0 and 3.5 people have started talking as well as working on the 4.0 Beta Version.During my training time, the people who used to evaluate our applications are found in the Office Library every now and then trying to understand the 3.5 version but you see, now they don't have to worry, they have to move to the next level. Come and learn 4.0 and by the time you gain mastery in it, they will come up with Robots, you might have to go home.
There are a lot of features like LINQ [PLINQ is also coming, someone told me] so no need of SQL server trained people. Silverlite is there, which I always thought of some hardware device and which turned out to be some sort of UI Enhancer :), working on which will make you feel like working on Adobe Photoshop, this is what I felt. This way the people who are trained in the earlier technologies, they will have to run hard so as to survive. They read 1.0, then 2.0, then 3.5 and then 4.0 and who knows what else is coming up.This way the whole generations will be swept away, people will never find solace or peace or whatever, the way that Invigilator of mine was studying in the library, the way my fellow batch mates wrote codes for Ajax and a lot of such things which I don't even know by name, by toiling like donkeys and just after three months almost all of them are found [:)] saying, "All we did was bull-shit." This is all about Visual Studio, there will be so many softwares and so many tools which are changing rapidly with time. So the probable solution for the problem can be this," Ignorance is bliss, so bask in the glory of ignorance. Whats the use of working hard when some intelligent people are already breaking their back for the development of this world :)"
Because apart from this no Intelligent Approach comes to mind because the servicing Indians are not having enough space to think and react and get back to their senses. So enjoy, Life is Beautiful :)

P.S : Everything typed in this post is all I know about the technology, so if there is any miss-take then please don't take it, do your own research :)

Demand and Supply :)

I had been looking for some books since ages. I couldn't find them anywhere and from Amazon I don't want to buy. These books, I don't think, are the one which everyone would read, but still if someone who is into books and reads my blog, please let me know if they can help me finding them.

1. Common Sense by Nirlamba Swami......Bhagat Singh recommends :)

2. Sex and Psychology of Love by Sigmund Freud. Odyssey people were having only 1 copy of it and I myself searched for this book for one complete hour [self-service,those store-people are of no use. They keep running behind the girls :( ]

3. Narcissism by Ayn Rand
4. Theory of Sexuality by Ayn Rand
5. Plotting Hitler's Death by Joachim Fest
6. Bolivian Diary by Che Guevara

I don't know how many people will read this and even if they read it, whether they read "these-kind-of" books or not and if they read then how are they going to help me.
But even if they tell me any book-store name throughout India or Bhutan even :), I will buy that book. So people if you can help me then I will be more than grateful because I had searched for these books in almost all the bookstores in Hyderabad, Pune and Bangalore.

P.S: A very good news is on its way, will tell you about it very very soon.

CHE-A Memoir by Fidel Castro

Ernesto "Che" Guevara where "Che" is the common way of greeting of the land where he was born. He was not a Cuban as people believe, he was born in Argentina. He fought for Cubans, he fought for Bolivians, he fought for every poor and against every Imperialist, beyond the barriers of nations and creeds. Fidel Castro- The Legendary Cuban revolutionary, one of the longest serving Prime Ministers, writes about Che in his book, " Che -A Memoir".

The book fell into my hands eventually during my short trip to Bangalore. The resemblance of the cover photo of Che to my friend "Rohit" made me to buy the book, and believe me this book is one of the best books I have ever read. After The Motorcycle Diaries, this is my second book with Comrade Guevara. The depth with which revolution is talked about in this book, the passion with which Castro Uncle explains the character named "Che" shows the deep bond they shared with each other. Things were talked about the sudden vanishing of Che from the Cuban scenario and Castro replies in a letter to the imperialists saying,"He is there where he is best for the cause of revolution." There are the addresses by Castro regarding the whereabouts of Che, regarding the rumours of conflict between Che and Castro. Then there is one address where Castro admits that Che has been killed in an ambush in Bolivia by the American troops, the 10 page long address to the nation is mesmerizing.

Ernesto "Che" Guevara once said,"For the cause of revolution, I will fight with all the weapons within my reach rather than let myself be nailed to a cross or whatever!" He fought hard and the Bolivian Odyssey, where 17 guerrillas were surrounded by 1800 trained mercenaries depicts the bravery and courage of Commander Guevara, where in spite of being sick for days, he fought for the cause of revolution. In the end there is a very long address by Castro to the nation where he breaks down emotionally after receiving Che's remains, 30 years after his death. He says,"For me, it is really very hard to believe that Che is dead. He talks to me, sits with me, every now and then. He is there with me, in my Life."

Although people say that he was a blood-sucker, he lived and died by the guns and battles but indeed the "Man" is beyond the T-Shirts and Posters. He was an uncommon man who opted out of his medical career just for the sake of going round his country on a stupid motorcycle.
Love you Comrade.

P.S: Today morning while coming to office, I saw a man sitting in the auto holding a notebook and showing it to the people around and it said,"Please wear Helmet. Please wear seat belt." Nice effort comrade, he was an employee of a rival [:D] company. Great job comrade.

Autology

Scene-Auto rickshaw stand which is by no means legal and not meant for the same. It can be defined as a large number of crippled autos standing in the middle of the road with their drivers having a strange face and shouting all the time at the top of their voices, even if they are talking to each other.
Its 9 in the morning and a lot of guys/girls wearing blue-black business formals are striding towards the auto stand.
All the auto drivers are standing in a group and are commanding people to sit in their autos. They are lined up and move only according to their number but still there is a lot of chaos and some intelligent people manage to rush away out of turn.
As soon as you reach there they come into action. They will just encircle you and will ask or rather command you to sit in their respective autos. They will force you to sit in an auto where 14 people are sitting already and when you question them about the scope of your ass they will tell you that still there is room for two more people. They can accommodate 14-16 people in an auto and sometimes its difficult to tell which one is actually driving. I have observed that they succeed in their ventures every time, what they do is they create a barrier around you, by crowding around you, which will not let you move. They will freeze your nerves by shouting and crying in their hoarse voices which will give you no room for your grey matter to move. They unknowingly or knowingly follow a strategy. You ask them about the place you would like to go, they will reply in Hindi after that you ask them about fare, distance, seats or anything else they will shut their mouth and in case they are in a mood to talk they will start blabbering in local language which even your forefathers can't understand. Once you are seated then they will start playing and humming Hindi songs, will pass comments on the good looking girls in Hindi, wink at you to gain support from you (which most of the guys have given so far, bloody creeps).
You will be sitting in one auto where enough space is there for you, then another auto waala will come and he will shout in front of you, staring into your eyes(as if you have raped someone and he is about to pass the verdict) and this whole business not give you enough time and space to think and you will start following his orders like a puppet and this way he will be able to maintain the record breaking figure of 16 people in a single auto.I have seen people sitting calmly in a khaali auto and them being taken away by an auto-wala who is already having 15 peices with him and still is not satisfied. The magic is spellbound, you have no choice, you have to go. Its amazing to see the way they capture people. This is the psychology of survival, autology. Auto drivers want as many people as possible [read impossible] in their autos and professionals want to reach as soon as possible inside their A.C cabins, irrespective of the fact that the number of autos operating is very large.
So all guys who are having the privilege of traveling by sharing-auto and the future prospects of the shining auto industry[freshers from Engineering Colleges, who are to join especially in Pune,Hyderabad] please see to it that you don't let their autology overpower you, let them shout, scream and use local language but you keep yourself on the top priority and ensure that you find a suitable place for yourself in the auto. This is happening in every field of Life, we are acting impulsively, we are not having time enough to think, to act and to react.Time is needed, for ourselves and for Life.
So,whenever someone shouts at you in local language just say,"Sorry Shaktiman!" and it will bring smile to your and his face as well [I tried this once :)]
